About RetroNET

RetroNET is a collection of services, resources, and web sites that strive to preserve the experience of using the Internet in the early 1990s.

This website, www.retronet.net, will be an index of these services.

Our first service is a small catalog of WWW sites that wish to be indexed by RetroNET. We do not crawl the web; instead, we ask that anyone wishing to be indexed drop us a line. See the page “Joining RetroNET” for more information.

In the near future, we expect to offer several additional services, including:

• An NNTP-based NetNews service similar to Usenet
• UUCP over TCP
